Smriti Mandhana–Palaash Muchhal wedding: The sudden postponement of cricketer Smriti Mandhana and singer–composer Palaash Muchhal’s high-profile wedding continues to dominate headlines, with fresh questions emerging after the event management firm involved in the ceremony posted a cryptic message that’s now gone viral.

What was initially described as an unavoidable delay due to a family medical emergency has since turned into a swirl of rumour, speculation, and fan theories online.

Event company’s mysterious post sparks new buzz

Soon after the November 23 wedding was halted, the Sangli-based event company handling the arrangements shared a puzzling Instagram post. The message read: “We don’t cross the finish line in every match of Life that we play, but it’s always the sportsman Spirit that counts… Our team played hard, with Joy & Pride, and they all certainly deserve a Mention! Will see you soon Champion.”

Event company’s mysterious post sparks new buzz

Though the caption didn’t name anyone, fans quickly connected it to the postponed wedding. The post resurfaced this week after the internet erupted with unverified claims that the wedding had been rescheduled for December 7.

However, Smriti’s brother Shravan Mandhana dismissed the reports outright, calling them “misinformation” and clarifying that the wedding “is still postponed.” His comment has only intensified the public’s curiosity about what’s actually happening behind the scenes.

Why was Smriti Mandhana–Palaash Muchhal’s wedding postponed?

The wedding was brought to an abrupt halt when Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suffered a serious medical emergency and had to be rushed to the hospital. Sources say the family collectively decided to pause all celebrations.

Palaash, reportedly distressed after witnessing the situation, was also briefly hospitalised and placed on IV support. With neither family issuing a formal statement, online speculation escalated quickly.

Alleged screenshots hinting at cheating accusations circulated across social media soon after the postponement, prompting widespread chatter. Smriti’s deletion of her engagement photos and proposal video added fuel to the narrative.

Dance choreographers Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan, who were unexpectedly dragged into online gossip, firmly denied the allegations, calling them “fabricated” and “baseless.”

Meanwhile, Smriti’s earlier viral comment about her “ideal partner” also resurfaced, turning into a trending topic in the wake of the postponement.

Families request calm as speculation grows

Palaash’s mother, Amita Muchhal, urged fans to stop spreading rumours, reiterating that the delay was caused solely by Smriti’s father’s health scare. She added that it was Palaash who first suggested postponing the event and stressed that the wedding “will happen soon.”

Neither Smriti nor Palaash has responded publicly to the allegations. Their only subtle reaction is the addition of an evil-eye emoji in both their Instagram bios, interpreted by many as a quiet pushback against the negativity.
