Hyderabad: Reports indicate that 33 outbound Indigo flights are set to be cancelled starting Thursday, according to sources from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
In addition, 35 incoming flights are also anticipated to face cancellations throughout the day.
On Wednesday, Indigo had already cancelled 19 flights departing from Hyderabad.
A frustrated passenger shared their experience on social media, stating, "We have been at Hyderabad Airport since yesterday at 6:00 PM until today at 9:00 AM—over 12 hours—with no updates from IndiGo regarding the Pune flight. This has caused considerable inconvenience."
Another traveler expressed their frustration, saying, "Total chaos at Hyderabad airport today — flights delayed over 12 hours. They kept delaying by 'just 2 more hours' repeatedly for 12 hours, citing that the crew was on the way. This is unacceptable."
The airport authority released a statement on Wednesday, explaining that some IndiGo flights were affected due to technology and operational challenges faced by the airline, leading to delays and cancellations.
Passengers are advised to reach out to IndiGo's customer service for the most current updates on their flight status, although operations at RGIA are reported to be running normally.
