Isaiah Thomas hinted at a possible return for one more season in his career. The NBA legend kicked off his career with the Sacramento Kings in 2011. Since then, he has been a part of several other teams, like the Phoenix Suns, the Boston Celtics , the Cleveland Cavaliers and even the Los Angeles Lakers. He is currently playing in the G-League with the Salt Lake City Stars .
Recently, the player got in talks with TMZ Sports. There, he expressed his willingness to play for one more season in the NBA. According to the legend, certain teams have shown their interest in acquiring the player. However, nothing concrete has been revealed yet and this has left everyone curious as to which team the player might end up with.
Isaiah Thomas talks about possible comeback for one last season in the NBAWhile talking to TMZ Sports, Isaiah Thomas revealed his current condition and his body being in shape for another season. Even though the player has not played a complete season for a long time now, he is not ready to give up yet. Speaking to the outlet, Isaiah stated, “I'm staying ready. Staying in contact with a few teams, but just playing it by ear, making sure I stay ready."
He further stated, “I'm healthy, I'm only 36, I still got a few more years to play ... but ideally, I would love to play one more." Isaiah explained how his body feels “amazing” and he is all prepared to play at a bigger level. The player is open to contributing in the game, not just on the court, but also off the court. This indicates the inherent aim set in the mind of Isaiah about contributing in a team, no matter what the role is.
Isaiah last played with the Phoenix Suns in 2024 before moving on with the Salt Lake City Stars in the G-League. Some of his noteworthy performances throughout his career came during his time with the Boston Celtics. The player even suffered multiple injuries and had to go through major surgeries throughout his career. Despite that, the athlete averaged a score of 17.5 points with 2.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists. During his time with the Celtics, Isaiah was a two-time NBA All-Star and was named second team All-NBA. Having the athlete back on the court for a full season would be treat for the fans.
