Ryanair is to launch in just months three new routes from the Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA). Starting next summer, the budget airline will trake passengers to Warsaw in Poland, Marrakesh in Morocco, and Tirana in Albania. It said it hoped to offer holidaymakers the chance to enjoy the "historical and vibrant" Polish capital.
Marrakesh is famous for its colourful souks and hsitoric palaces, while Tirana attracts visitors to its vibrant atmosphere and history. Ryanair also announced a sixth aircraft will be added to its fleet that flies from JLA. Chief Commercial Officer Jason McGuinness said this marks the airline's biggest schedule expansion in terms of flights from the airport.
Once the sixth aircraft is added next year, Ryaniar will be the largest carrier in terms of departing seats to serve JLA.
Its new destinations will allow Brits to see more of Europe on a budget, taking travellers to some underrated cities.
Tirana in particular has been called a hidden gem in Europe, with the underrated city proving the perfect place for a short break.
Albania's capital is famous for its vibrant nightlife, rich history including the communist past, and landmarks like the Pyramid of Tirana, Skanderbeg Square, and the Bunk'Art museums.
It offers unique attractions like the Dajti Ekspres Cable Car, colorful buildings, and a mix of Ottoman, Italian, and communist-era architecture.
Marrakesh is also known for its vibrant atmosphere, historical architecture, and rich cultural attractions, including the bustling Djemaa el-Fna square, beautiful gardens like the Majorelle Garden, and traditional souks for shopping.
The city is also famous for its delicious Moroccan cuisine, luxury riads and spas, and its location near the Atlas Mountains.
Warsaw has become a popular city break destination due to its reconstructed Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and as the city of composer Frédéric Chopin, whose heart is enshrined there.
The city is also known for its impressive skyline with modern skyscrapers, rich history and culture, and the iconic Mermaid symbol.
