In a surprising development, actor Saif Ali Khan has reportedly opted out of director Sneha Taurani's upcoming film.

The decision came just days before the shoot was set to begin and had left the production team scrambling for a replacement.

A source close to the project told Bollywood Hungama that Khan "didn't feel it was the right film for him to do."

According to the source, Khan's decision came later than expected.

Producer Ramesh Taurani, known for his long-standing collaboration with Khan on films like Race, Race 2, and Bhoot Police, has reportedly replaced the actor with Sunny Kaushal. Ramesh is Taurani's father.

The latter will be reuniting with director Taurani after their 2020 film Bhangra Paa Le.

Industry insiders have revealed that Ramesh is "deeply upset" with Khan's sudden exit from the film.

This discontent may impact Khan's future projects with him, including Race 4 and Bhoot Police 2.

Meanwhile, Khan is currently busy with filming Priyadarshan's Haiwaan with Akshay Kumar.

Khan was last seen in Netflix's Dining With the Kapoors, alongside his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan.
