If you can’t find your YouTube Recap this year, you’re not alone — many users are reporting the same issue. According to YouTube and the official Google Support page, there are a few specific reasons why your Recap may be missing or unavailable. Here’s what might be happening:
1. Not Enough Watch History
YouTube Recap relies on your viewing activity from January through late October 2025. If you didn’t watch enough content, paused your watch history, or had auto-delete enabled, YouTube may not have enough data to generate a personalized recap. Recap won’t appear for accounts with insufficient history.
2. Age Restrictions
You must be 13 or older to receive a Recap. Supervised accounts do not qualify, even if they meet the age requirement. If your profile is tied to parental controls, your Recap will not be generated.
3. Account or Login Status
Your Recap won’t appear if you’re not signed in to a YouTube account. Users with Brand accounts may also have issues — specifically, delegated or secondary users aren’t eligible to receive Recap slideshows.
4. Regional Limitations
While YouTube Recap is available in more than 185 countries and offered in 17 languagesit still isn’t supported everywhere. If your account is registered in a region outside the eligible locations, your Recap will not show up.
These restrictions often explain why some users can see their Recap immediately while others don’t see it at all. If you meet all the requirements and still can’t find your Recap, it may simply be rolling out gradually — or your account may not have enough data for YouTube to build a full year-in-review.
