New Delhi On one hand, Elon Musk’s humanoid robot Optimus is doing household chores and dancing, while on the other hand, a fighter robot has been made in China, It moves around and kicks and punches, Its name is T800, It is a full-scale humanoid machine specially designed for combat, This machine was presented by Shenzhen-based company EngineAI at the World Robot Conference in Beijing, The company claims that this robot is exactly like a human in size and weight and it will be used in the controlled fighting demo to be held later, The purpose of these demos is to test the strength, endurance and agility of the robot in the real world, so that in future it can be used in industrial and service sectors also,
Did a blast earlier too – EngineAI’s flipping robot
In February this year, the same company had claimed that its PM01 model was the world’s first humanoid robot to complete a frontflip. The company had also shared a video of the robot walking on the streets of Shenzhen. This shows that EngineAI is rapidly advancing humanoid technology and now the T800 is presented in a new marketing style – as a high-performance, action-ready machine.

T800’s design strength, looks and high-performance features
EngineAI’s T800 is a full-size humanoid that can perform high-action movements like fighting. It is 5.6 feet (173 cm) tall and weighs 75 kg with batteries. It has a total of 29 degrees of freedom, that is, the ability to rotate and bend different parts of the body. It has also been given 7-7 DOF in both its hands so that it can hold accurately like a human. The robot is made from aviation-grade aluminum to make it lightweight, strong and durable. Its specialty is its active cooling system that protects the leg joints from overheating and allows continuous high-intensity performance for up to 4 hours. It has a modular solid-state battery, so that it can be changed and charged quickly.
360-degree sensors, powerful motors and super-fast movement
The T800 is equipped with 360 degree LiDAR, stereo vision cameras and high-speed processing system, so that it can instantly recognize its surrounding environment and avoid obstacles. Its powerful joint motors deliver up to 450 Nm of torque, giving it the ability to perform stunts like flying kicks, capoeira-style movements and rapid direction changes. The computing system has Intel N97 and NVIDIA AGX Orin, which provides AI processing up to 275 TOPS. Its top speed is 3 meters per second, and the company says it is suitable for use in logistics, hospitality, service sector and human-robot collaboration.
The real question – is its software capability that strong?
The T800 may be powerful in terms of power, speed and action, but experts say the real game is in its software. According to reports, EngineAI has placed a lot of emphasis on the robot’s athletic and hardware capabilities, but did not provide any clear information about the software ecosystem, SDK, API documentation or development tools. Meaning, for now it just looks like a high-performance remote-controlled machine, while the world’s other big players—Tesla, Boston Dynamics, and Figure AI—are offering robust software-based solutions for factories and logistics.
