Rumors surfaced that Palash was cheating on Smriti and that this was the reason for the wedding being postponed. Neither Palash nor Smriti had previously responded to these rumors. Now, Palash's sister, Palak Muchhal, has given her first reaction to the matter.

Speaking to Filmfare, Palak Muchhal reacted to Palash and Smriti's wedding being postponed. She talked about facing difficult times and staying positive. Palak said, "I think both families have faced very difficult times, and as you just said... I would just like to reiterate that we want to believe in positivity during this time and spread as much positivity as possible and stay strong."

Earlier, Palak Muchhal had revealed the reason for the postponement of Palash and Smriti's wedding. In a statement on her Instagram handle, she appealed to the public to respect the privacy of both families. In the post, she wrote, "Due to Smriti's father's health, Smriti and Palash's wedding has been postponed. I appeal to all of you to respect the family's privacy during this critical time."

It's worth noting that on the night of Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana's sangeet, the cricketer's father, Srinivas Mandhana, became unwell. He was hospitalised, and the couple's wedding was postponed. Subsequently, reports surfaced alleging that Palash was having an affair with a choreographer, which led to the postponement of their wedding. However, neither Palash nor Smriti have yet responded to these rumours.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Palash's mother said, "Palash is very attached to Uncle... They are closer than he is to Smriti. Since his relationship with Smriti is over, Palash decided to hold off on the wedding vows until Uncle recovers."
