Train Cancelled News: Around 25 million people travel by train daily in the country, and the Railways operate thousands of trains for the convenience of these passengers. Meanwhile, an important update has emerged for those traveling on the Gorakhpur-Chhapra route. Due to development work at the Mairwa Yard in the Varanasi Division of North Eastern Railway, several train operations will be affected for the next few days.

Work to replace points and crossings in the yard is underway, for which a block has been imposed from December 7th to 16th. During this period, one train will be completely cancelled, while several trains will be diverted, and others will be rescheduled. Passengers are advised to check their updated schedules before traveling to avoid any difficulties along the way.

These trains have been canceled.

First, let's discuss the trains whose routes have been temporarily changed. The Railways stated that three major trains will be diverted to a different route to avoid impacting work at the Mairwa yard and allow other trains to pass smoothly. Special train number 04454 from New Delhi to Mansi will be diverted via Kaptanganj and Thawe instead of Gorakhpur Cantt and Bhatni on December 6, 9, 12, and 15.

In addition, train number 15048 Purvanchal Express from Gorakhpur to Kolkata will also be diverted on December 7 and 16. Train number 14674 Shaheed Express from Amritsar to Jaynagar will be diverted via Kaptanganj and Thawe on December 9. This change is only for the dates mentioned. Therefore, please check the route your train will take before making travel plans.

These trains were also affected.

On the other hand, some trains will be operated at a controlled speed for a limited period.
