According to popular belief, Indians need four words to be happy: Kohli scored a century. And it has been proved again, at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag. India will be playing the third ODI on December 6 at Vizag, and ticket sales have seen a sudden surge right before the match.
Notably, there was a really heavy drought in the online sales of the third ODI. According to the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) officials, the public did not respond well to buying the tickets. As per reports, the tickets for the third ODI were available from November 28. But the traffic was pretty light.
The ignorance was so marked that the officials even thought of selling physical tickets from the stadium counter. But the scenes changed drastically after Virat Kohli smacked back-to-back centuries.
Virat Kohli's century earned India a win in the first ODI, but India was defeated despite scoring another one in the second. Even though the Indian team lost the match, ACA had their win-win situation.
The ticket sales increased the moment he scored the century (132) at Ranchi on November 30. Speaking to the Indian Express, the ACA Media and Operation team member Y. Venkatesh said,
“The first phase of tickets went on sale on November 28. The response wasn’t good. But after Kohli’s hundred at Ranchi, the second and third phases vanished in minutes. Nothing was left unsold."

Virat Kohli, the ultimate crowd puller
Virat Kohli has no doubt been the crowd-puller in a country that worships cricketers more than the sport itself. Last year, when he played his last Ranji Trophy match, against the Railways in the Arun Jaitley Stadium, he pulled in 12000 people, something not popular in a domestic match.
In the last phase of his career, despite the fact that he had seemingly reached his peak again, fans were not willing to leave a glimpse of him and his partner, Rohit Sharma.
Notably, Virat Kohli has agreed to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Delhi will play all their matches in Alur and Bengaluru, both located in Andhra Pradesh, giving fans some more time to cherish him in the domestic jersey too.
