How to take care of Heliconia Plant?

1. It is a tropical plant but easily adjusts to the Indian climate.
2. It requires a combination of loamy soil, coco peat and compost. Water should not stagnate in the soil.
3. Always keep the soil slightly moist and water every day in summer. In winters 2–3 times a week is sufficient.
4. Requires 4–6 hours of bright but indirect sunlight daily. Leaves can burn in strong sunlight.
5. If you keep the plant indoors, keep it near the window.
6. Heliconia likes a little moisture. Spray lightly twice a week, which will keep the leaves shiny.
7. Give organic fertilizer/vermicompost every 3–4 months. Growth is highest in summer.
