DGCA eases pilot rest rules to curb IndiGo crisis

India's aviation regulator, DGCA, has eased newly introduced rules to help IndiGo tackle widespread flight disruptions.
The regulator will now allow pilot leave days to be counted as part of the mandatory weekly rest, offering airlines short-term flexibility under the new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) norms.
The relaxation comes after hundreds of flight cancellations triggered by crew shortages and stricter rest requirements.
