New Delhi. Suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir has laid the foundation stone of ‘Babri Masjid’ on Saturday as per his announced program in Beldanga, Murshidabad, West Bengal. Let us tell you that on Friday itself the High Court had refused to intervene in this matter. After this the local administration has become alert.

Maulana Yasoob Abbas, General Secretary of All India Shia Personal Law Board, said that such a statement is a conspiracy to break the country and there is definitely some political intention behind it. Many fights and violence have taken place in the name of temples and mosques. The mosque should be named after Allah or His messengers and not after those who looted the country, because people go to religious places for peace and it is wrong to involve politics in it. He is getting cheap popularity because he has chosen the name Babar for the mosque, which is not acceptable to any Muslim.
If Humayun Kabir had built the mosque by any other name, he would have got a contribution transcending religious boundaries: Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation.
Athar Hussain, Secretary of the Indo-Islamic Cultural Foundation, said that if a mosque is at a valid place and its map is approved, then people of that religion can build it. But building a mosque only in the name of Babar is a political objective. This weakens the real feeling of religious faith. If he (Humayun Kabir) wants to build a mosque, then pay attention to the name. He further said that Humayun Kabir is a suspended MLA and he might have given this statement politically motivated. If he had been building the mosque under any other name, he would have received contribution cutting across religious boundaries. But if politics is used instead of religious belief, it will not benefit anyone much.
BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said that he is doing this for the Muslim vote bank. He should form a new party and work against the atrocities on Muslims in the state and do politics of development. Muslims want to move forward, he should lead them.
