With a rating of 4.4 out of 5, the southern Vietnamese beef noodle is a traditional dish whose main ingredients are beef, rice vermicelli, garlic, fresh herbs and vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, and bean sprouts.

The noodles, vegetables, and herbs are arranged in bowls, while the beef is stir-fried and added on top. The whole bowl is garnished with peanuts and shallots before the dish is served.

The beef-based pho variant, crafted with assorted cuts and parts of beef, received a rating of 4.34 points.

The broth is made using beef bones, shank, oxtail, and neck, and simmered for hours with cinnamon, star anise and other spices.

Considered as a national dish in Vietnam, pho has many times won applause from international travel magazines.

In Vietnam, pho is easily found at various establishments, ranging from popular roadside restaurants and local markets to luxury dining venues and 5-star hotels.

Vori-vori, a soup from Paraguay made with small balls of cornmeal and cheese cooked in a broth, was named the best dish in the world.

The ranking was based on 453,720 valid ratings for 11,781 dishes in TasteAtlas database.
