BHU Jobs 2025: How many vacancies are there?
This time, a total of 55 vacancies have been announced. These include 3 positions for Principal, 9 for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), the highest number of 36 for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and 7 for Primary Teacher (PRT). This means there are opportunities at every level, whether you want to teach primary school children or students in classes 11th and 12th.

Who can apply?
To become a Principal, you must have a Master's degree with at least 50% marks, a B.Ed., and experience as a Principal, Vice-Principal, or PGT in a government school. For PGT, a Master's degree in the relevant subject (50% marks) or an integrated M.Sc course from NCERT's Regional College of Education, along with a B.Ed, is required. To become a TGT, a graduation degree with 50% marks in the relevant subject or a 4-year integrated course and a B.Ed plus CTET pass is mandatory. For PRT, 50% marks in 12th grade, D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed or a diploma in Special Education, and a CTET pass are required.  This means that without a CTET pass, you will not be eligible for TGT and PRT positions.

What is the age limit?

The age limit for the Principal position is 35 to 55 years, while the maximum age for PGT is 40 years, for TGT is 35 years, and for PRT is 30 years. The good news is that SC, ST, OBC, differently-abled candidates, and ex-servicemen will receive age relaxation as per the Government of India rules.

How will the selection process work?
First, your application and qualifications will be checked. After that, if needed, a written examination will be conducted. The syllabus will be released later. This will be followed by a presentation and interview. Finally, the documents of the selected candidates will be verified, and only then will the appointment letter be issued. This means that simply filling out the form will not be enough; you will have to work hard to get selected.

What will be the salary and allowances?
Everyone will receive salaries according to the 7th Pay Commission. Principals will receive a basic pay of ₹78,800 in Level-12, PGTs will receive ₹47,600 in Level-8, TGTs will receive ₹44,900 in Level-7, and PRTs will receive ₹35,400 per month in Level-6. In addition, all regular BHU allowances such as DA, HRA, medical benefits, and children's education allowance will also be provided.

Scan and upload your photograph, signature, and all certificates. If you belong to the General, EWS, or OBC category, pay the application fee online. SC/ST/differently-abled candidates and women are exempted from the fee. After submitting the form, take a printout.
