Patna: Four members of an interstate booze smuggling ring have been apprehended by Jakkanpur police station officers after receiving a tip from the Prohibition Department. A group smuggling alcohol from Madhya Pradesh to Patna, Hajipur, and Saran was the focus of the operation.
Recuperation and Seizures
Police found a sizable stockpile of assets and contraband during searches at two homes in Indira Nagar and Mithapur:
Liquor: 669 liters, purportedly valued at Rs 1,000,000.
Cash: Rs 1,761,000, which is thought to have come from smuggling.
Vehicles and Equipment: To support the operation, eight cell phones and two scooters were used.
The Accused
The Saran district’s Isuapur and Mashrak are home to all four of the accused. They’ve been recognized as:
Harish, also known as Uday Kumar, is the gang’s mastermind. He was previously imprisoned in Madhya Pradesh for hoarding alcohol, and he has a criminal history.

Raids to find other people involved in the supply chain are still underway, according to Sadar ASP Abhinav. In Madhya Pradesh, authorities are also obtaining information on the precise origins of the alcohol.
Modus Operandi The group had been operating for the previous year, according to interrogations.
Supply Route: Uday transported alcohol to Danapur by rail via ties with smugglers in Madhya Pradesh.
Local Transportation: Autorickshaws and e-rickshaws were used to transport the shipment from the train station to hiding places in Jakkanpur.
Distribution: Patna, Hajipur, and Saran were supplied via the gang’s distribution network.
Structure: Rohit, Kunal, and Abhishek were hired by Uday for the activities, and they were compensated with commissions.
Details of a Police Operation
The accused were operating out of a leased room, according to information the police obtained. After verifying the details:

Searches were then conducted at residences in Indira Nagar and the area around the old bus stop in Mithapur.
At these sites, the four defendants were captured along with the cash, cars, and booze consignment.
