The era of how we perceive spy movies in Bollywood has changed for the better with the massive fame that Dhurandhar has gathered. While comparisons with the YRF Spy-verse are also going viral, it looks like Naga Vamsi’s previous comment got pulled up amid all of this.
Siddharth Anand allegedly made a remark about the filmmaker and the situation of the Hindi film industry. However, he very quickly deleted that comment.
Siddharth Anand takes a subtle dig at Naga VamsiIn an old interview, Naga Vamsi had spoken about how the Hindi film industry has a very limited demographic that it makes movies for. His exact words were, "One thing sir, you have to accept this. It might sound really harsh. We, South Indians, have changed the way you [Bollywood] look at cinema. Because, you guys [Bollywood], are stuck in making films for Bandra and Juhu. You witnessed a change with Baahubali, RRR, Animal and Jawan."

This was met with a lot of heat but had also eventually died down. With Dhurandhar's success, both domestically and internationally, it is proving the statement very wrong. In a now deleted tweet from Siddharth Anand, the man behind the YRF Spyverse, he seemed to have taken a dig at the filmmaker's old comments.
He allegedly joked about how he is, "somewhere not getting sleep." Unfortunately, the tweet no longer exists.

Although Dhurandhar has become a much-loved film, it is to be noted that the Ranveer Singh starrer is an exception, not a norm. Bollywood is still taking out the same kind of films it had for years now and fans believe that the larger extent of Naga Vamsi's statement still holds true.

One of the biggest reasons why the Aditya Dhar film has worked is because it is so different from what we're used to seeing. It doesn't suggest that we're seeing a big change no matter how much fans would love to see it.
They are divided between siding with him and siding against him. Some agree with his deleted taunt while others still see it as a problem. Yes, Dhurandhar is liked by many, but it isn't flawless either.
