Cardiff traffic: Road closed after 'serious crash' as drivers face long delays

A serious crash has sparked traffic delays at Ely roundabout in Cardiff as a large police cordon is set up.
Delays are expected into the afternoon as drivers are told to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "We are at the scene of a serious collision on Ely roundabout on the junction of Cowbridge Road East and Cowbridge Road West.
"The road is currently closed in both directions between Ely roundabout and the junction of Western Avenue and Ely Road. It is expected to remain closed for some time.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area."
