New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth turned 75 on December 12, and the milestone birthday turned into a grand celebration across India’s film industry and political circles. From New Delhi to Chennai and Kochi, leaders and stars shared loving messages, thanking him for five decades of cinema and a lifetime of inspiration.
Social media is filled with photos, memories and emotional notes, all saluting the man fans lovingly call “Thalaiva”.
PM Modi’s birthday messagePrime Minister Narendra Modi led the wishes with a warm note for the legendary actor. He wrote, “Greetings to Thiru Rajinikanth Ji on the special occasion of his 75th birthday… This year has been notable because he completed 50 years in the world of films. Praying for his long and healthy life,” and also shared the message in Tamil.

Rajinikanth’s longtime friend and colleague Kamal Haasan celebrated both the man and his career. Posting a picture of the two together, Kamal wrote, “75 years of a remarkable life. 50 years of legendary cinema. Happy birthday, my friend @rajinikanth.”

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal thanked Rajinikanth for inspiring generations with his life and work.
