WhatsApp has introduced several updates for its users across chatting, calling, channels, and status. Now, if the other user isn't answering the phone, they can instantly send a voice or video note.
If you use WhatsApp, several new features have arrived for you. The company stated that these features include missed call messages, new interactive status stickers, a new media tab for desktop, and upgraded image generation tools in Meta AI. Meta AI can now animate any of your photos into a short video that you can share with your friends. Let's explore these features in detail.
This update for calling
Now, if someone doesn't pick up your WhatsApp call, you can leave a voice or video note for them. Instead of sending a separate message, you can instantly record a voice or video message and send it to the next user. Additionally, voice chats have been updated to allow for reactions without interrupting the conversation, and group video calls will highlight the speaker.
Chat Updates
Meta AI is being upgraded with new models of Midjourney and Flux. This will improve AI-generated visuals and allow any photo to be animated into a short video. A new media tab has been added to the desktop, showcasing documents, media, and links in one place. Link previews have also been improved.
Status and Channels
WhatsApp has announced the addition of new interactive stickers, such as music lyrics, question prompts, and other elements, to Status, allowing users to engage with other users. A question feature has also been added to Channels. Channel admins will now be able to receive real-time responses from members to any question. These features are now available to many users. To take advantage of the latest features of WhatsApp, keep the app updated.
