Beauty fans are raving about a £26 concealer that's quickly becoming a must-have in makeup bags everywhere. This cult favourite is winning over shoppers who swear it delivers a bright, refreshed look in seconds.
Now, for those who have been searching for a product that ticks all the boxes, The Face Pencil is available for £26 from Jones Road. The concealer comes in a range of shades, from fair to deep, so there is sure to be an option for everyone.
As every makeup lover's dream, the Face Pencil is described as a creamy, dense concealer that delivers buildable coverage while remaining undetectable on the skin. It conceals redness, blemishes, and uneven tone, according to the brand, and a lighter shade can be used to brighten the under-eye area.
Formulated with a clear base, it blends in naturally with no chalky undertones. For the best results, buyers are advised to start by applying around the nose to neutralise redness.
Then continue around the mouth and onto any areas that need spot-correcting, tapping gently to blend. Layer as needed to build the desired coverage - and for extended wear, finish with a light dusting of the Tinted Face Powder.
For an alternative, LookFantastic has the Yves Saint Laurent All Hours Concealer available for £24, down from £32. This is a full coverage matte concealer that 'promotes up to 16 hours of comfortable wear', and it comes in 11 different shades for buyers, the site says.
A second option is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer for £6.99 at Boots. This too comes in a range of shades, such as Ivory, and it offers a light coverage with a 'satin finish'.
With almost 23,000 reviews, however, The Face Pencil has garnered a high 4.44 out of five-star rating on the Jones Road website. One person said: "My magic under-eye circle eraser."
A second wrote: "Nice coverage for dark circles under my eyes." While a third commented: "Love the concealer pencils. For my under eye area, I use a brush and it goes on really well and barely needs blending."
A couple of shoppers did deduct a star, however, as one said: "This is such a good product. It is easy to apply and has good coverage. It makes a difference. I use it with or without What The Foundation. The only "disadvantage" is a re-application during the day (over the face, not around eyes), but it is ok because it is easy to do."
Another said: "I need to use it for a longer time, possibly needing a darker shade, but trying to learn application.".
