Lionel Messi in India: Argentina’s superstar footballer Lionel Messi has reached India late night. Today its GOAT India Tour will start from the city, for which fans are reaching Salt Lake Stadium. With the arrival of Messi, Kolkata was colored in ‘blue and white’. The veteran player will be on his three-day, four-city tour.

Excited fans await the unveiling of a 70-foot tall statue of Argentine football star Lionel Messi in Salt Lake. Messi craze is sweeping the city as fans of all ages flock to the Salt Lake Stadium to catch a glimpse of Argentine superstar footballer Lionel Messi. “I am a big fan of Messi and have been following him since 2016. His dribbling makes him different from other players. He will try to make Argentina win the World Cup again… However, there are many competitors too,” Orin Das, a young fan, told PTI.
Messi arrived in the city late last night with his old strike partner Luis Suarez and Argentina teammate Rodrigo De Paul. Over the next 72 hours, he will visit Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi, where he will meet chief ministers, corporate leaders, Bollywood celebrities and finally Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
