A major television drama from the 2000s is now available to stream for free on UK platform U, and also for Disney+ subscribers. The show has been hailed as a must-watch after viewers have relished a "perfect" series and gripping crime show, reports the Mirror.

The thriller has drawn comparisons to TV giants like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, even said to surpass these iconic shows, while also being likened to 24 and Lost. There's even chatter about the show making a return.

The series debuted in 2005 and has since garnered high praise on IMDb, boasting a plethora of top-rated reviews and maintaining a dedicated fanbase to this day. It has been lauded for its consistently robust writing, swift narrative pace and stellar performances.

One viewer titled their glowing 10/10 star IMDb review: "The Best". The reviewer elaborated: "Done with all 90 episodes n never been bored with it! Simply one of the best TV shows of all time! It's a 15 year old show and still fresher and more addictive than others... [sic]."

Another 10/10 review was headlined: "Top notch", with the viewer stating: "Bestesttttttt season ever..Whoever recommended you this never lose the person this is the best show on this planet I guarantee that.. [sic]."

A third viewer awarded the outstanding programme a 9/10 rating, declaring: "Best series ever! Characters, music and story are superb!" They went on to elaborate: "This is by far the best series I've ever seen. It had drama, good acting, suspense, it's really fast-paced and it's smart. So extremely clever."

Another fan handed the series 9/10 stars, headlining their review: "For Me - The Most Addictive TV Show Ever!" They described it as the "most addictive TV experience" eclipsing even HBO's Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad, though Lost "definitely came close", this drama still reigned supreme for them.

Their enthusiastic appraisal concluded: "Truly, the showrunners have done an outstanding job creating and executing this series. This is one of the few shows whose every season is great and is consistent in quality. I truly cared for all the characters in the show, even the bad guys."

Yet another viewer bestowed a perfect 10/10 rating, branding it the "greatest" whilst noting: "I love it, it's one of the biggest series in the world."

Meanwhile, another 9/10 review praised it as a "masterclass", elaborating: "A perfectly plotted series showing turn after turn and greatly it's almost unpredictable. Acting of every character is mind blowing. Detailed execution, covering the next move, thinking beyond imagination of the writers, made it one of the best ever atleast for me [sic]."

Prison Break, the gripping drama that first graced our screens two decades ago, centred around structural engineer Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and his intricate plan to rescue his brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) from death row for a crime he didn't commit. The twist?

Michael was the architect behind the prison where Lincoln was held and knew exactly how to orchestrate an escape, but had to get himself incarcerated first to execute his elaborate plot.

However, the plan hit several snags as fellow inmates gradually caught wind of the scheme and got involved. Additionally, navigating prison politics and the watchful eyes of the guards added further complications for Michael, Lincoln, and their fellow Fox River State Penitentiary inmates.

Prison Break was a resounding success, earning lead actor Miller and the series nominations for Golden Globes, Emmys, Screen Actors Guild Awards, among other prestigious recognitions. The show also boasts an impressive 8.3/10 rating on IMDb.

It spawned four additional seasons and a TV film: Prison Break: The Final Break. Even after its original run ended, Prison Break continued to enthrall new viewers, leading to a reboot in 2017 with nine more episodes.
