Ghaziabad: In order to take action against private developers who fail to assign EWS and LIG properties on time, the Ghaziabad Development Authority is compiling a list of such developers. In this context, directions have been issued by GDA Vice-Chairman Nand Kishore Kalal.
Applications are now being accepted for 2,986 EWS (Economically Weaker Section) properties that are being built in the SGS City-1 and City-2 projects by private developer M/s SGS Construction & Developers Private Limited under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in accordance with the directive. Beginning on December 15, applications for the properties will be accepted until January 15.
Interested and qualified candidates may apply within the allotted period, according to the Vice-Chairman of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA). The Ghaziabad Development Authority’s website has comprehensive details on the program, eligibility, terms, application procedure, and other rules.
According to the GDA VC, other private developers have also received stringent guidelines about the timely building and distribution of houses falling under the EWS and LIG (Lower Income Group) categories under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. To keep an eye on this, a committee led by the Authority Secretary has been established, and it routinely examines the work being done by private developers.
As of right now, the Economically Weaker Section’s ultimate price per property is Rs 498,000. This sum comprises Rs 1,50,000 in financial aid from the federal government and Rs 1,00,000 from the state government under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
The allottee would only have to pay Rs 1,98,000 per apartment after subtracting the whole Rs 2,50,000 subsidy. Depending on the project’s true cost, this sum may be raised or lowered in accordance with laws.
