The recruitment process for 41,424 vacant Home Guard positions is underway in all districts of Uttar Pradesh. The last date to apply for this recruitment is December 17, 2025. Therefore, candidates who have not yet applied for any reason have very little time left. The application window will close after tomorrow.
This recruitment is being conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB). Interested candidates can apply online by visiting the websites uppbpb.gov.in or upprpb.in. The department has clearly stated that no applications will be accepted after the last date.
Only 10th Pass Candidates Can Apply
The most notable feature of the UP Home Guard recruitment is that only a 10th pass certificate is required. This is a golden opportunity for young people who have been unable to secure government jobs due to limited education. However, some essential conditions have also been set. The candidate must be a resident of the district from which they are applying.
Regarding age, the minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per government rules. The age will be calculated from the date the registration for the recruitment begins.
These Certificates Will Provide Additional Benefits
In this recruitment, there are some certificates that will entitle candidates to additional marks. If a candidate has an NCC or Bharat Scouts and Guides certificate, they will receive one to three additional marks.
In addition, candidates with a Disaster Management training certificate will be given three extra marks. Candidates holding a four-wheeler driving license will receive one additional mark. These marks can be beneficial when the merit list is being prepared.
How much is the application fee?
The application fee for the UP Home Guard recruitment has also been fixed. Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 400. For SC and ST category candidates, the application fee is Rs. 300. The application fee must be paid online.

To apply, candidates must first visit the upprpb.in website. There, they need to click on the registration link and fill in their required information to complete a one-time registration (OTR). After completing the registration, they need to log in, fill in the remaining information, and complete the application form.
