A local councillor claimed a "major incident" happened on Tuesday morning at a London M&S store. The incident would have happened at a store in the Charlton area, in southeast London.

Greenwich councillor David Gardner, who represents the Greenwich Peninsula ward, wrote on social media: "There is a major incident this morning at M&S Charlton with 35 people being treated for Carbon Monoxide poisoning. All three emergency services are in attendance, so best avoid the area until all clear."

Emergency services attended the scene, with the Metropolitan Police saying the London Ambulance Service (LAS) was leading on the incident, MyLondon reports.
