PM Modi will reach Oman on 17 and 18 December.
After China, India is the country where eggs are produced the most. Poultry India report says, India produces 32 crore eggs daily. India's share in the total egg production in the world is 8.40 percent. Tamil Nadu is at the forefront in the production of eggs in India. This state delivers 6.5 crore eggs daily. Andhra Pradesh is at second position and Telangana is at third position.
India is a big exporter of eggs. There are many buying countries which import it. Although Middle East countries like Oman, Qatar, UAE and Bahrain along with Maldives and African countries also buy eggs from India, but among all these countries Oman is at the forefront. Oman where PM Modi will be on tour on 17th and 18th December.
Oman imports only 40 percent of the eggs that India exports. In this way, Oman is the biggest market for Indian eggs. Sri Lanka is at second position (31%), Maldives is at third position (15%) and Qatar (15%). At the same time, United Arab Emirates (15%) is at fourth place. Now the question is why Oman buys so many eggs from India.
Why is Oman the largest buyer of Indian eggs?
Oman is the largest buyer of Indian eggs. There are many reasons behind this. Let us understand it one by one.
1- Effect of price
Poultry India's report says, whether it is Oman or other countries, the prices of Indian eggs are affected. This is because production in India is more and hence the cost of production of eggs is less. This has a positive impact on the export of eggs. As a result, India exports up to 40 percent of its total egg production to Oman.

2-Large scale production
Eggs are produced on a large scale in India. The availability of eggs in India, second only to China, is an opportunity for the country. The requirement of eggs in Oman is fulfilled from India. So this is also a reason. India produces 32 crore eggs daily. This quality is also visible in business figures.
3- Better quality of Indian eggs
The report says that the quality of Indian eggs greatly affects the countries importing from India. Many steps have been taken in this regard from time to time in India. Due to this their quality has become better than before. Its effect has also been seen on the export of eggs. Demand for Indian eggs came from many countries and it was fulfilled.

How many challenges?
India is undoubtedly creating history in the production of eggs, but the challenges are also no less. These challenges are acting as a hindrance for India to cross China's figure. There are many reasons for this. Sometimes the ban on Indian eggs also becomes the reason for this. Changes in tariffs hinder the pace of exporting eggs.
In many countries, eggs of specific size and weight are demanded, which Indian eggs cannot meet. This is also a big challenge. The delay in obtaining the certification required to export eggs is also a challenge. To export them, veterinary clearance and residue-free certification are required. This also gets delayed many times.
