Fatal Encounter with Wild Elephants
In a tragic event in Ramgarh district, Jharkhand, a 32-year-old man was reportedly trampled to death by a herd of wild elephants while trying to take selfies. This information was confirmed by a local official.
The incident occurred in the Ara South area of the Mandu block. Nitish Kumar, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), stated that Amit Kumar Rajwar, a resident of Kedla village, approached a group of eight wild elephants to film a video and capture selfies.
Unfortunately, the elephants attacked Kumar, leading to his death. The DFO emphasized that the forest department has repeatedly urged the public to avoid getting close to wild elephants using loudspeakers, yet such incidents continue to occur.
