A B&Q electric blanket has been recalled due to a fire risk as customers are urged to not use the product. A GoodHome Saturnia Electric Blanket presents a risk of giving users an electric shock.
The blanket contains an electrical component that can overheat, potentially causing the blanket or nearby furniture to catch fire. Aditionally, if the controller was to overheat and melt it is possible that live parts may become exposed, which could lead to the user receiving an electric shock.
The beige-coloured blanket was on sale for over a year between the years November 2024 and December 2025. The blanket carries the barcode 5059340980560.
The product was found to not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016. Customers are being urged to stop using the product immediately, disconnect it from the mains power supply, and return it to their nearest B&Q store for a full refund.
The product has also been recalled from end users by Kingfisher International Products Limited.
Those needing more information should access Product recalls and safety notices at B&Q or contact B&Q Customer Services on 0300 303 4482.
