Met Office issues 12-hour weather warnings for 2 regions including London in forecast

The Met Office has issued updated yellow weather warnings for rain in England on Thursday, Decemeber 18, in its new forecast.
One is an updated yellow weather warning for rain in South West England between 09:00 (UTC) on Thu 18 Dec 2025 and 21:00 (UTC) on Thu 18 Dec 2025.
The other is an updated yellow weather warning for rain in the South East of England between 09:00 (UTC) on Thu 18 Dec 2025 and 21:00 (UTC).
The Met Office warns Brits in these regions to expect the following:
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Some interruption to power supplies and other services possible
- Spray and large waves likely to affect some coastal roads, leading to tricky driving conditions at times
The Met Office's forecast for Thursday states: "Bright spells in the north to begin, but pulses of rain spread northwards throughout Thursday, particularly heavy across southern England and Wales. Gales again possible in association with this."
