At the same time, due to the active Western Disturbance, cold wave like conditions have arisen in the plains of Bihar. On December 19, there will be dense fog in many districts of western and north-central Bihar.

The icy winds coming from the Himalayas and Western Disturbance have completely changed the mood of the weather in Bihar. In the state which is struggling with cold wave and dense fog, the Meteorological Department has now alerted about rain in some districts. Due to snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand, cold westerly winds are now reaching Bihar, due to which a drop in day and night temperatures is being seen. On December 19, the temperature in many districts of Bihar is expected to be below 10 degrees Celsius. At the same time, in the capital Patna, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 22 degrees and minimum 10 degrees. However, the minimum temperature may drop by 3-4 degrees in the next three-four days. This means the severity of cold will increase further.
Cold will give tough test after December 22
Cold temperatures are going to become more severe in Bihar after December 22. According to the Meteorological Department, along with the cold wave, dense fog will give a tough test to the people. The more snowfall there is on the mountains, the more its impact will be felt in the plains of Bihar in the form of cold winds coming from there. After December 22, 'cold day' like conditions may arise in many areas of Bihar. This means that along with the nights, the days will also become cold.
Yellow alert of fog in more than 30 districts of Bihar
According to the Meteorological Center, Bihar's West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Vaishali, Patna, Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, Jehanabad, Gaya, Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur, Munger, Yellow alert of fog has been issued in parts of Begusarai, Khagaria, Darbhanga and Madhubani districts. This means visibility will be very low in these districts. In such a situation, instructions have been given to drive vehicles carefully on the roads.
