Mumbai: Fuel prices remained largely stable across the country on Tuesday, December 30, with only a marginal reduction seen in petrol rates. According to reports, the price of petrol was cut by 4 paise per litre, while diesel prices remained unchanged.
Petrol is now priced at Rs 103.50 per litre, compared to Rs 103.54 on Monday. Diesel continues to be sold at Rs 90.03 per litre, the same as the previous day.
Reports indicate that over the last 10 days, petrol prices have fluctuated within a narrow range between Rs 103.50 and Rs 103.54 per litre. Diesel prices, on the other hand, have remained steady for nearly a year.
However, a slight increase in both petrol and diesel prices has been reported in cities such as Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Patna, and Gurugram.

Fuel prices in India are influenced by international crude oil prices, domestic taxes, and currency exchange rates. High fuel taxes continue to be a major factor affecting petrol and diesel prices.
Meanwhile, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder (14.2 kg) remains unchanged at Rs 852.50.
