One Spanish destination has been named the cheapest package holiday spot for British tourists in 2026. Only one of the 10 cheapest tourist hotspots costs an average of less than £900 per person for a seven-night holiday - and it is the Costa Blanca in Spain.

A study by consumer group Which? revealed that the average cost of a seven-night package holiday in Costa Blanca for one person is £864. Costa Blanca is a popular destination for Brits, home to towns like Alicante and Benidorm.

It is located on the southern coast of Spain, and in summer, you can expect highs of around 30C.

"Cheap and cheerful Benidorm is part of the reason the Costa Blanca came out top," the consumer experts revealed.

They added: "We found many of the lowest price holidays here from £535pp for a week's self-catering at the two-star Playamar apartments."

While Benidorm proved to be affordable, with all-inclusive deals costing around £886 per person with EasyJet Holidays, there are other areas of the Costa Blanca that aren't as rowdy but offer pretty decent deals.

Atlea is approximately 12 kilometres (around eight miles) from Benidorm and is a much more relaxed area. The study found a room-only option for a hotel in Atlea for £1,033 per person for a seven-night stay.

Several other Spanish regions also made the top ten list for the most affordable package holidays in Europe and its surrounding areas. However, an unexpected entry made the number 2 spot.

The study found that a package holiday for seven nights in Tuscany, Italy, costs around £929 per person. The experts said that Tuscany is relatively affordable compared to other popular Italian destinations due to the wide range of accommodation options available there.

In third place is the Agadir coast in Morocco, where seven-night package holidays for UK travellers cost around £946 per person.

The ten cheapest package holiday destinations for Brits in 2026, according to the study, are:

  • Costa Blanca, Spain
  • Tuscany, Italy
  • Agadir coast, Morocco
  • Dalaman area, Turkey
  • Tenerife, Canary Islands
  • Fuerteventura, Canary Islands
  • Gran Canaria, Canary Islands
  • Costa Brava, Spain
  • Costa Dorada, Spain
  • Zante, Greece

The study was conducted by Which by gathering the prices of 5,393 package holidays from two of the UK's biggest tour operators, Jet2holidays and easyJet Holidays. Prices were recorded in December 2025.

The study examined Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Portugal, Spain (including the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands) and Turkey.

Meanwhile, all holiday types were included in the study, from self-catering to full-board and all-inclusive.
