Delhi government minister Ashish Sood has made serious allegations against Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and demanded an apology. On the ongoing controversy over ‘dog counting’, he said that AAP deliberately made false statements and when the truth came out, they stopped speaking on the issue.

Minister Ashish Sood said that he had read the relevant circular in the press conference in the presence of all the journalists and clearly explained what was written in it. Nowhere in it is it said that the Delhi government has employed teachers to count dogs.

Ashish Sood had challenged that if such writing is shown anywhere in the circular, then he himself is ready to apologize.

He also said that if there is no such mention, then Arvind Kejriwal should apologize to the country and the people of Delhi. The minister alleged that after that press conference, Aam Aadmi Party leaders stopped talking about the ‘dog counting’ issue as they had no facts to prove it.

Ashish Sood said that the government will not tolerate the irresponsible attitude of Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal makes false statements and then tries to escape from them, which is not good for democracy and responsible politics.

Ashish Sood also reacted to the sloganeering that took place on Monday night in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus. He said that the slogans raised in JNU after the bail petitions of Omar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam were rejected are highly condemnable.

The minister said that personal and violent comments made against the Prime Minister and the Home Minister cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
