Ranchi: There is a rush of people meeting Chief Minister Hemant Soren to wish him a happy new year. On Tuesday, Congress MP from Lohardaga parliamentary constituency Sukhdev Bhagat went to the Chief Minister’s residence on Kanke Road and met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren. Sukhdev Bhagat congratulated and wished both the leaders for the New Year.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren also congratulated MP Sukhdev Bhagat for the New Year and wished him a healthy and successful tenure. During the meeting, the overall development of Jharkhand state was discussed between the Chief Minister and the MP. Both the leaders had in-depth discussions on accelerating the development of the state, effective implementation of public welfare schemes and empowering rural areas.

MP Sukhdev Bhagat expressed his gratitude while welcoming the Chief Minister’s decision to implement PESA law in the state. The MP said that the implementation of the PESA law is a bold and historic step towards strengthening village self-governance in line with the spirit of the Constitution. This will pave the way for equitable, participatory and sustainable development in tribal dominated areas. He also assured the Chief Minister of continuous cooperation for the development of the state.
