Union Minister Piyush Goyal held a press conference at the BJP’s central office on Tuesday and welcomed the decision of the Madurai Bench of the Tamil Nadu High Court, in which centuries-old temples on the Tiruparankundram hills Deepam lighting tradition has been allowed to continue. Goyal described it as a victory of the faith of the devotees and an affirmation of religious freedom.

Piyush Goyal said that it is extremely satisfactory that the court recognized the tradition of lighting the lamp under ‘Deepottiruvizha’ at this historical site associated with Lord Murugan. He said that there was no justification for stopping this religious tradition that has been going on for centuries and the court has strictly rejected the state government’s arguments regarding law and order.

The Union Minister launched a scathing attack on the DMK and the India Alliance, alleging that these parties are continuously Insult of Sanatan Dharma They have been doing this and are targeting religious traditions under the politics of appeasement.
