Sanjeev Mukhiya gang member arrested in BPSC TRE 3 paper leak case

On March 15, 2024, the news of the question paper of the third phase teacher recruitment examination conducted by BPSC was leaked. After this, the Economic Offenses Unit registered the case on March 16, 2024 and released the investigation. In this, it was revealed that the main kingpin was Sanjeev Mukhiya. The Economic Offenses Unit has so far arrested 289 accused including Sanjeev Mukhiya and again a major success has been achieved. Aurangabad resident Vipul Kumar, a member of Sanjeev Mukhiya gang, has been arrested by EOU from Patna Gola Road.

According to the information given by EOU, the mastermind of question paper leak of many competitive examinations is Vipul Kumar alias Vipul Sharma, the wanted accused of Sanjeev Mukhiya gang, who is a resident of Birai village located in Daudnagar police station area of ​​Aurangabad district. He was hiding in his residence on Gola Road in Patna, on the information of which the Economic Offenses Unit raided on Tuesday 6 January and sent him to jail.

During interrogation, Vipul has told that he has been working as an active member of Sanjeev Mukhiya gang and has been involved in leaking question papers in many competitive examinations. Vipul Kumar had helped Sanjeev Mukhiya in leaking the question paper of STET Haryana by Sanjeev Mukhiya gang in 2023. He had gone to Delhi by flight with some members and from there by road, staying in a resort in Sonipat, Haryana, made the candidates memorize the answers of the question paper for STET Haryana.

In the competitive examination of the third phase of teacher recruitment by Bihar Public Service Commission, Sanjeev, joining the Mukhiya gang, took 15 candidates in a Winger car to Kohinoor Hotel in Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), where arrangements were made to memorize the leaked question papers to about 500 candidates in a planned manner.

Vipul had also taken along a handheld device for frisking the candidates at Kohinoor Hotel. The Economic Offenses Unit has produced Vipul in the court and now a total of 290 accused have been arrested in the TRE 3 question paper leak case.

Let us inform that the third phase teacher recruitment process in Bihar has been completed and the teachers reinstated in it are now working. But at that time there was a huge uproar when the paper was leaked. The opposition had also launched a major attack on the government. At that time around four lakh candidates had appeared in the examination. In the first shift, 2 lakh 14 thousand candidates and in the second shift, 1 lakh 60 thousand candidates appeared for the exam.

In the third phase in Bihar, teachers were to be appointed to about 87,709 posts, although the recruitment was less than that. It has been said that the remaining candidates will be given a chance in the fourth phase. In the paper leak case that happened at that time, BPSC had denied the entire episode, but the Economic Offenses Unit continued investigating it and Sanjeev Mukhiya was named as its main mastermind.
