In some districts, schools up to 12th and in some up to 8th have been closed. In Varanasi, school holidays up to class eight have been extended till January 9. At the same time, all the secondary schools of all the boards in Badaun have been ordered to remain closed from January 8 to 10. In Aligarh too, holidays have been declared in schools from nursery to class eight till January 10. In Basti too, schools up to class eight will remain closed till January 10.

According to the order issued by the District School Inspector after the instructions of the DM in Badaun, there will be a holiday for the children in all the secondary schools from January 8 to 10, but the teachers who have been assigned the duty of BLO will remain on duty to complete their work. The schools where booths have been set up will also open. Following the order of DM in Varanasi, holidays in schools up to class eight have been extended till January 9. According to the office order issued by BSA Anurag Srivastava, this order will be valid for schools of all boards. During this period, teachers and staff will reach school on time. BSA said that this order will be equally applicable to all the government, council, non-government aided, private recognized schools of the district as well as schools run by CBSE, ICSE and all other boards. Teaching work for students will be completely suspended on these dates.
In Aligarh district, holiday has been declared in schools from nursery to class eight till January 10. Indian Education Association had also given a memorandum in this regard. There has been cold wave, fog and severe cold in Aligarh for a week. DM has declared holiday till January 10 for classes up to class eight in all schools of all boards. It has been said in the order that if any school opens during this period, then action will be taken against it as per rules. In view of the cold wave and severe cold in Basti too, on the orders of DM, all the schools till class 8th have been closed till January 10. Let us tell you that winter vacation is going on from 31st December to 14th January in the council and recognized schools of Basic Education Department. On the instructions of DM, BSA has issued an office order saying that holidays have been declared for students of classes 1 to 8 in schools affiliated to UP Board, CBSE and ICSE.
Announcement had already been made in these districts. In Lakhimpur, instructions had already been issued to close schools up to 12 till January 14. Similarly, in Badaun, schools up to class VIII are already closed till January 14. Now secondary schools have been closed from January 8 to 10. Schools up to class 8th are closed in Prayagraj till January 15.
