Sanjay Singh, Patna Tej Pratap, the elder son of Lalu Yadav family, one of the biggest political families of Bihar, has not kept silence even after losing the election. A few days after his defeat in the elections, he started his YouTube channel. Now, on the pretext of Makar Sankranti, he is inviting leaders of various parties to a banquet at his home. He himself is also distributing invitation letters to the people. His Dahi Chuda feast has become a topic of discussion these days in the political circles of Bihar.
Tej Pratap Yadav says that he will also send invitation to his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav. This decision of Tej Pratap has increased the political turmoil further. There is talk in political circles that Tej Pratap’s inclination is increasing towards Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United and Bharatiya Janata Party.
Lalu had started the tradition
Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav started the tradition of Dahi Chuda Bhoj in 1994-1995. The purpose of holding the banquet was to unite the leaders and workers. Political khichdi was also cooked in this feast. Then this tradition was started by former JDU state president Vashishtha Narayan. It was only after the Chura Dahi Bhoj started by Lalu Yadav that he separated from the Janata Dal under the leadership of George Fernandes.
After many years, when they formed the government with the Grand Alliance. Then former Chief Minister Rabri Devi had served Dahi Chuda in front of Nitish. In his capacity as elder brother, Lalu had also given curd vaccine to Nitish but this political relationship did not work for long. Then in 2022, both of them came together to form the government, after a few days there was a rift in relations and Nitish again went with BJP.
Took advantage of Tejashwi being away
RJD has lost badly in the assembly elections. Due to this defeat, civil strife started again in the Lalu family. Tej Pratap had already been evicted from the party and the house. After the election defeat, sister Rohini Acharya opened a front against Tejashwi. The sister alleged that the party’s defeat was due to Tejashwi’s wrong decision.
Amidst these controversies, Tejashwi Yadav went on a foreign trip. Taking the opportunity, Tej Pratap met his mother Rabri Devi on January 1 and took blessings. He had formed his own separate party Rashtriya Janashakti Dal even before the elections. Tej Pratap is continuously saying that he will never join RJD. He also claims that he will field his candidates in the West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh assembly elections also. His activism may increase RJD’s problems.
Invitation given to Deputy CM
A few days ago, Tej Pratap had praised the government for the law and order situation in Bihar. He had said that Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary is doing better work. Today he met Second Deputy CM Vijay Sinha and invited him to attend the banquet. He said that he will also invite the Governor and the Chief Minister to attend the banquet.
The biggest thing is that Tej Pratap himself is going with the invitation letter. When journalists asked him questions, he said that he would also invite his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav. Meanwhile, there is talk in the political circles that Tej Pratap’s inclination is increasing towards NDA. On the other hand, it is also discussed that he continues to attack Congress.
