The Uttar Pradesh government is fully committed to keeping all the recruitment and selection processes in the state free, fair, transparent and clean. Keeping in mind the bright future of the candidates, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken an important decision and ordered the cancellation of the Assistant Professor examination.

According to the information received, complaints of irregularities, rigging and illegal money collection were reported in the examination conducted by Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj in April 2025 for the post of Assistant Professor under Advertisement No. 51. Based on these complaints, STF UP received information, after which, considering the seriousness of the matter, a confidential investigation was ordered by the Chief Minister.

During the investigation, STF arrested three accused – Mehboob Ali, Baijnath Pal and Vinay Pal – of the gang who cheated the candidates by creating fake question papers of the Assistant Professor examination on April 20, 2025. A case was registered against the accused under various sections of the Indian Justice Code 2023 at Vibhutikhand police station, Lucknow.

During interrogation, the main accused Mehboob Ali admitted that during the moderation process, he had taken out question papers of various subjects and made them available to many candidates for money. STF’s deep investigation and data analysis confirmed his confession.

During the investigation, names of other suspicious candidates and persons also came to light. After collating the data received from the Commission, it became clear that the integrity of the examination had been violated.

Keeping all these facts in mind, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered to cancel the Assistant Professor examination. Also, Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has been directed to ensure that the examination is conducted quickly, in a completely fair and transparent manner, so that the future of the candidates can be secure.
