There is an atmosphere of tension between the Pakistani Army and the local people in Balochistan. At the same time, human rights organizations active in Balochistan have also made many allegations against the Pakistani army and government.

Meanwhile, the Baloch National Movement (BNM) has strongly condemned the Pakistan Army and termed it as a baseless propaganda campaign against its leadership.

Serious violations of human rights are taking place in Balochistan. In view of the situation, BNM started a campaign under the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP Plus).

The human rights organization alleged that the Pakistani army is not only illegally using government force against the Baloch people, but is also using media trials and the so-called fifth generation war theory to spread misinformation.

BNM said, “The purpose of this propaganda is not only to create negative opinion about the Baloch movement on social media, but also to create serious difficulties for political activists working peacefully inside and outside the country.

The world is well aware that agents of the Pakistan Army have been involved in serious crimes, including attempted murder, against their political opponents.”

According to the party, BNM leader Naseem Baloch is falsely accused by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Ahmed Sharif of being involved in armed activities. Naseem Baloch promotes the fight for freedom of Baloch through peaceful political means.

Major General Ahmed Sharif is the DG of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). ISPR is the official media and public relations wing of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

It further said, “We completely reject this false and ill-intentioned propaganda against them. The special rights of Pakistan’s GSAP Plus cannot coexist with its continued human rights violations. BNM ran a vigorous campaign across Europe to expose this.”

The party said that after the campaign gained momentum, the Pakistani Army and government institutions intensified their propaganda against BNM.

European institutions should now clearly understand that Pakistan not only physically harms peaceful political activists, but also wants to destroy their dignity and lives through systematic misinformation and false propaganda. Pakistan has a long standing habit of portraying the victims as criminals and the oppressed as oppressors. Baloch people will not be deceived by such tactics.”

BNM said that it considers such steps of Pakistan as clearly harassing actions. She will not sit silent and Pakistan will be confronted at every level.
