JNU controversial slogans: Controversial slogans were raised against PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah outside Sabarmati Hostel in Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Monday night. After this incident, JNU administration had filed a complaint against the sloganeering students. Meanwhile, University Vice Chancellor Professor Shantisree Dhulipudi Pandit reacted to the sloganeering on the campus.

JNU Vice Chancellor Professor Shantisree Dhulipudi Pandit, speaking at an event, reacted to the alleged sloganeering against PM Modi and Amit Shah. She said, “I want to tell you that we are the most nationalist university in India. Slogans were raised again two days ago because there are some mad people in every university. There are some mad people but they do not decide the character of this university. Every Army Chief, every Navy Chief, every Air Force Chief are alumni of JNU.”
The Vice Chancellor Professor further said, “We are proud of Operation Sindoor… All the self-reliant institutions are from JNU, all the scientists have done PhD from JNU. I want to tell you, look at this positive side and promote this 90 percent. I thank all our staff, faculty, students that within 24 hours, JNU bounced back and proved that this narrative is not that of Jawaharlal Nehru University.”
