digital desk- In village Adhiapura of Jaswantnagar assembly constituency of Etawah district, Samajwadi Party’s national general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav strongly attacked the BJP government. He had reached the blanket distribution program with the workers in the village, where he raised questions on the policies of the Central and State Government and said that the country is continuously going backwards and the BJP is only doing politics of lies and show-off. Shivpal Yadav said that BJP talks about 1947, but does not tell how bad the economic condition of the country has become during their rule. He alleged that when BJP came to power, the total debt in the country was 34 percent, but today it has increased to 93 percent. Not only this, earlier only 34 percent interest had to be paid, whereas now 93 percent interest is being paid. He questioned how the country could develop in such a heavily indebted situation.

In the present government, Tehsildar and Lekhpal are openly asking for money – Shivpal Singh Yadav

Regarding houses built on Gram Sabha land, Shivpal Yadav said that during the Samajwadi Party government, he had made a law for this. He said that the villagers whose houses are built on Gram Sabha land and have been in possession of them for years, should get their land registered and the land should be transferred to their name. But in the present government, Tehsildars and accountants are openly demanding Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh in the name of ‘Gharauni’. He called it outright robbery. Shivpal Yadav also cornered the government regarding the electricity system. He said that today the situation is such that electricity is not available even during the day. Farmers are extremely troubled due to severe cold and dense fog.

Targeted at Electricity Minister

He raised the question that when there is no electricity, how will farmers apply water to their fields, especially how crops like potatoes will be irrigated. Taking aim at the Electricity Minister, he said that he should be asked how the farmers will do farming without electricity. Shivpal Yadav said that he had already demanded that farmers should be given electricity for at least 10 hours at night and 10 hours during the day, so that they can irrigate their crops. But the government did not take this demand seriously.
