WhatsApp is used by millions of people worldwide, including in India. The company is constantly rolling out new features to improve the user experience. Recently, the company announced three new features to enhance the group chat experience.
The instant messaging platform is now offering users new features such as Member Tags, Text Stickers, and Event Reminders, allowing users to connect more easily and express themselves better in groups.
Setting Member Tags
In a blog post, the company explained that users can now set Member Tags for themselves in group chats. These tags will make it easier to understand a member's role or identity within the group. Importantly, these tags can be customized differently for each group.
Text Stickers
Another great feature from WhatsApp is Text Stickers. This allows users to type any word and turn it into a sticker. There will also be an option to add these new text stickers directly to sticker packs. This feature is entirely dependent on the user's preference.
Event Reminders
The third new feature in WhatsApp is Event Reminders, which you can now use in group chats. When creating an event, users can set custom early reminders for invitees. The company says this will be very helpful in reminding everyone on time for events like parties, meetings, or calls. If you haven't received these features yet, don't worry. You should receive these new features soon in the latest WhatsApp update.
