Ranchi: Ruling party MLA Anoop Singh has written a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, making serious allegations against Tenughat Vidyut Nigam Limited General Manager cum Managing Director (temporary charge) Anil Kumar Sharma. Congress MLA from Bermo, Bokaro, Kumar Jaimangal alias Anoop Singh has made several serious allegations of corruption against Anil Kumar Sharma and demanded action from the Chief Minister. He has also mentioned corruption matters in his letter.

Widespread impact of Khunti Bandh was seen, people of tribal community took to the streets to protest against the murder of Pahada king Soma Munda.
In a letter to the CM, Congress MLA Kumar Jaimangal has written that as soon as he took charge, Anil Kumar Sharma is setting records of corruption by misusing his powers. He has mentioned five cases in the letter.

Congress MLA’s first allegation

Congress MLA says that Electrical Superintending Engineer Ashok Prasad had earlier committed a scam of Rs 35-40 lakh. Then the then Managing Director Arvind Kumar Sinha had ordered action against him. Two letters in this regard were also issued on 5-6-2020. But the file was destroyed. Also, the current Managing Director (in-charge) Anil Kumar Sharma neither took departmental action nor lodged an FIR against the engineer. Along with this, Ashok Prasad was also given the responsibility of the post of Superintending Engineer (Civil) and Superintending Engineer (Human Resources).
Congress MLA’s second allegation

Krishna Kumar Singh had voluntarily resigned from the post of Deputy Director of Accounts. But Managing Director Anil Kumar Sharma reinstated Krishna Kumar Singh to the post of Deputy Accounts Director in the corporation without issuing advertisement and without following the appointment process.

Third allegation against TVNL MD

While holding the post of DDA, Tajendra Singh Malhotra had laundered money from the inspectors and transferred the money to the accounts of his wife and relatives. This was also proved in the internal investigation. But instead of taking action, Managing Director Anil Kumar Sharma is protecting them. As a result of this, the case registered in the High Court by junior officer Abhinav Gaurav was dropped under pressure.

Allegation of wrongful increase in pay scale and promotion

The Congress MLA alleges that Managing Director Anil Kumar Sharma, by misleading the Board against the rules of the Energy Department, not only increased the pay scale but also got him promoted to the post of Engineer in Chief. Openly misused administrative powers.
It is unfair for one person to hold two positions

According to Congress MLA Kumar Jaimangal, under the corporation’s DOP and Works Procurement Policy 2012, it is not right for the same person to remain on both the important managerial decision and financial power posts of the corporation. Due to this the plant will not be able to operate properly. The Congress MLA alleges that because of such an officer the situation of the government becomes uncomfortable. Hence, there is a need to take action.
