Sardhana. The situation remains tense due to the incident of murder of Scheduled Caste woman Sunita and kidnapping of her daughter in village Kapsad in Sardhana police station area of Meerut. Considering the situation after this incident, a large number of police forces have been deployed in the village. Along with this, the search for the accused involved in the incident is going on. Meanwhile, when Samajwadi Party MLA Atul Pradhan reached the village to meet the victim’s family, the police stopped him outside the village. Citing security arrangements, the police did not allow them to proceed, after which there was an uproar.

After the SP MLA was stopped, supporters protested against it. During this time there was a scuffle with the police. Seeing the situation worsening, the police called additional police force. At the same time, after the atmosphere became heated, the administration has come on full alert mode. At the same time, angry with the police action, MLA Atul Pradhan sat on a dharna on the spot and started raising slogans against the administration.
The MLA alleged that being prevented from meeting the victim’s family is wrong and shows the insensitivity of the government. He said that he will not back down until the accused are arrested and the kidnapped minor is recovered. Seeing the tense situation, the police blocked the road all around the village Kapsad. Heavy police force and PAC have been deployed in the village. Any outsider has been barred from entering the village.
At the same time, after this painful incident the family members have refused to perform the last rites. They are still adamant on the demand for the arrest of the accused and safe recovery of the kidnapped minor daughter. Police and administration are continuously trying to manage the situation through talks.
