Nissan The motor company has announced changes at the senior management level in the key region of Africa, Middle East, India, Europe and Oceania (AMIEO). These changes are aimed at making the company’s Re:Nissan transformation plan more effective, as well as strengthening efficiency, speed and a customer-centric approach.
As part of these changes, Thierry Sabagh’s responsibilities have been expanded with effect from 1 January 2026, and he is now also entrusted with Nissan India. He will now serve as Divisional Vice President and President – Middle East, KSA, CIS and India (Nissan and Infiniti).

This expanded role will ensure continued leadership in established markets in the AMIEO region, and reflects Nissan’s focus on strengthening governance, execution and growth momentum in India as a strategic priority market.
India at the heart of Nissan’s 2026 strategy
2026 is a very important year for Nissan, with India at the center of the company’s global strategy. As the brand’s revival continues apace in the Indian market, Nissan India will introduce three new models in the next 14 to 16 months – GRAVITE, TEKTON and the 7-seater C-SUV.
Along with this, the company will focus on increasing customer reach through an expanded dealer network with 250 touchpoints across the country.
Speaking about his new role, Thierry Sabagh said, “I am honored to take on this responsibility at a very important juncture for Nissan. The Middle East and India are fast-growing markets with great opportunities. I look forward to building further growth on a strong foundation, working with our teams and partners.”

Announcement of departure of senior officer
Nissan also announced the departure of Leon Dorsers, Senior Vice President and Chief of Commercial Operations – Nissan AMIEO, at the same time. Dorsers, who began his career as a trainee at Nissan Europe in 1992, has held various leadership roles in France, Spain, Belgium, the US and Japan.
AMIEO region promising for 2026
After a successful product launch in the AMIEO region in 2025, the region will be very promising for Nissan in 2026 as well. With the launch of GRAVITE and TEKTON models in India in early 2026, the company is gearing up to strengthen its presence through new products and technologies.
