Due to increasing age, continuous sitting in front of mobile and computer screen, stress and wrong eating habits, eyesight can gradually weaken. According to experts, including certain foods in your diet keeps eye health strong and vision remains intact.
1. Carrot
Carrots are rich in vitamin A and beta-carotene, which are essential for the retina and vision. Eating carrots or drinking juice daily improves night vision.
2. Spinach and green leafy vegetables
Lutein and zeaxanthin are present in green leafy vegetables like spinach, fenugreek and broccoli. These elements protect the eyes from harmful UV rays and free radicals.
3. Egg
Lutein and zinc are found in egg yolk, which keep the eye muscles strong and prevent vision problems (such as macular degeneration) that occur with aging.
4. Blueberries and Strawberries
These fruits contain antioxidants and vitamin C, which keeps the blood vessels of the eyes healthy. Its consumption reduces dryness and irritation in the eyes.
5. Flaxseed and walnuts
Omega-3 fatty acids are present in flaxseed and walnuts, which prevents dryness and swelling in the eyes. It also helps in repairing eye cells.
