Also, with changing times they also bring updated versions of their cars in the market. Recently, Tata Motors has introduced the facelifted version of its popular Punch in India.

With the launch of the Tata Punch Facelift at the price of the Maruti Swift, the two cars are sure to compete with each other. Let’s know about the engine, features and price of both the cars.

Recently Tata Punch SUV launched its facelift. Powered by a 1.5-litre Revotron engine that produces 87.8 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. The second engine option is a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. The third engine option is the 1.2-litre CNG engine, which produces 73.4 PS of power and 103 Nm of torque.

Maruti’s Swift is powered by a 1.2-litre Z-series mild hybrid petrol engine. The 1197 cc Z-series mild hybrid petrol engine produces 81.6 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque. It is offered with a five-speed manual transmission and an AMT transmission.

Features

The Tata Punch facelift has many modern and premium features. It features a dual-tone dashboard, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Type-C charging port, express cool function, auto-dimming IRVM, front and rear thigh support, six airbags, ESP, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, 26.03 cm touchscreen infotainment system, 17.78 cm digital instrument cluster, LED tail lamps, Features like 16-inch alloy wheels, 360 degree camera, LED fog lamps, Eco and City drive modes and idle start/stop are offered.

Maruti Swift gets features like six-speaker sound system, front tweeters, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new suspension setup, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Suzuki Connect, hydraulic clutch, AC vents for rear passengers, two charging ports, digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted audio controls and cruise control. For safety, the Swift gets safety features like hill hold assist, ESP, reverse parking camera, ABS and EBD along with six airbags.

Price

Tata has launched the Panch facelift in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.59 lakh. The top petrol engine variant of this car is priced at Rs 8.99 lakh ex-showroom. While the CNG variants of the Punch are available starting at Rs 6.69 lakh, the top CNG variant is priced at Rs 9.69 lakh ex-showroom.

On the other hand, the Maruti Swift has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.79 lakh. The top variant of the Swift is priced at Rs 8.65 lakh ex-showroom.
