Lucknow, 15 January. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati said on Thursday that the party will contest all small and big elections in the country including the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027 alone. He claimed that in 2027, BSP will form the government in Uttar Pradesh with full majority. BSP supremo Mayawati celebrated her 70th birthday in Lucknow. In the press conference organized on this occasion, he targeted other political parties including BJP.

He clarified, “Our party has considered it more appropriate to contest all the elections alone in the entire country including Uttar Pradesh. There will be no alliance with any party in any election.” He said that in future, if there is confidence that the votes of any alliance partner party, especially the upper caste votes, can be transferred to BSP, then only the alliance will be considered.

He said the process could take years. Mayawati said that the people of Uttar Pradesh, remembering the four terms of BSP, have once again made up their mind to bring the party to power in the 2027 assembly elections. He said that the party workers are fully engaged to make this a reality, so that this time a government with full majority can be formed. He claimed that Congress, BJP and other casteist parties are adopting various tactics, giving a befitting reply to form the BSP government for the fifth time in Uttar Pradesh.

Regarding EVMs, he said that like in many previous elections, this time too there can be rigging and dishonesty in EVMs, despite this, BSP will contest the elections with full strength in the entire country. He said that people believe that the system of those who rig EVMs can fail at any time and only then will the correct election results emerge.

He also said that opposition to EVMs is increasing across the country. Accusing the previous governments, the BSP chief said that national mourning was not declared on the demise of BSP founder Kanshi Ram and he was ignored. He said that injustice has been done to the Muslim community along with other castes. Mayawati claimed that there were no riots during the BSP government and the Yadav community was also fully taken care of.
